This editorial policy explains how we research articles, distinguish facts from opinion and update content when information changes.
Primary Sources Come First
When reporting specifications, launch details or official model information, we aim to consult primary sources where they are reasonably available.
These may include official Omega and Swatch product pages, press materials and other first party information.
Independent watch publications may also be used to provide additional context, but their reporting should not be copied or presented as our own experience.
Original Writing
Our articles should provide independent explanation rather than simply rewriting another publication sentence by sentence.
When discussing a new Omega release, we aim to add useful context such as differences from the previous generation, case proportions, reference specific details and relevance to UK readers.
Genuine Watches and Replica Watches
We distinguish between official Omega products and replica watches.
Specifications published by Omega apply to genuine Omega watches and should not automatically be assumed to apply to a replica with similar branding or appearance.
Replica comparisons focus on observable details and seller supplied information where relevant.
Seller Quality Claims
Descriptions such as AAA, 1 to 1, super clone, perfect clone and Swiss quality are widely used in the replica market but do not form a universal independent grading system.

Opinions
Some articles contain editorial opinion about design, proportions or how a new reference fits within the wider Omega range.
Opinion should be identifiable as opinion and should not be presented as a technical fact.
Corrections
If a meaningful factual error is identified, we aim to correct the article.
Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a separate correction note. Material corrections may be explained within the article where useful to readers.
Article Updates
Older articles may be updated when new specifications become available, when links stop working or when an article no longer meets our current editorial standards.
The original URL may be retained where the topic remains useful so readers and search engines can continue to find the improved page.
Commercial Influence
